I’m Lamia, the photographer behind LAO Studio. I’m originally from Belgium, and art has been my language for as long as I can remember — the medium I’ve always used to express what I couldn’t put into words. I’ve never been someone who enjoys the spotlight; I feel most myself behind the camera, quietly observing, creating, and sharing beauty. I’ve always believed that offering art, softness, and stillness to the world is part of my purpose in this life.

I started travelling at nineteen, and photography became my grounding force — the way I made sense of new places, new people, and the constant movement. My camera has followed me everywhere since, becoming both a companion and a way of seeing. That journey shapes everything I create today: imagery rooted in nature, honesty, and intentional simplicity.
